Brought up believing his late grandfather was Adolph Hitler, Stevie Bryson is regularly dressed in tweed suits, encouraged to perform, likes all things related to the military & outer space and digs David Bowie. Pretty normal for a young lad in the late 1960's early 1970's you might say? But this is Kirkby, Liverpool!

Bullied to distraction Stevie tries everything to escape his aggressors and fit in. Then by accident he discovers his "Life Strategy". Girlfriends, fighting, smoking, stealing, sport and car chases all fuse to improve his life until the violence spirals out of control. Continuously reinventing his "Life Strategy" is what makes Stevie Bryson the man he is today!

Returning to the UK after a lifetime in America Hector sets about building his dream theme park. Set on the Northeast coast of Yorkshire he employs Johnny Bailey, a hard nosed engineer who has spent most of his life in construction abroad.

Johnny has a say in almost everyone that gets employed at the park, calling on old contacts from his past. The unforeseen problem is Jimmy McDoughal, nephew and favourite of Hector who protects him fervently.

This is a story of working men at their best and their worst and Johnny's taking no prisoners.
