Kayak Nene Oundle

Arriving at Oundle Bridge at 12:15pm on Saturday 19th June after 13-hours of paddling.
This was our 15-minute lunch break and marked the completion of 36-miles.

We set off at 11:15pm on Friday 18th June following an unfavourable weather forecast.
Friday night was cold but calm, although we did experience approximately 5-miles of fog. This was extremely difficult to navigate and we had to switch all but our marker lights off in an attempt to navigate. This was a little unnerving as groups of swans appeared alongside our kayaks out of the dark. Tom was attacked by a swan back in May and Mick could feel the boat accelerate every time these beautiful birds came close. They were just as surprised to see us and posed no problem.
